So, I have a dreamwidth account now. I got it because I am special and twitter rocks and is love.

Dreamwidth's twitter account has been giving away codes for a few days and I always JUST miss them because I use madtwitter and it only updated every five minutes.  I changed my setting to every minute.

Dreamwidth posted a HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT? and that's like the freaking bat signal of invite codes.

So what do you do when you see the bat signal?  You jump out of bed and hit refresh, about 5 times before the code appears and you click the hell out of that thing.

I got lucky and it was the first time I wasn't told that the code was invalid, in fact it asked me for an account name and password and all that jazz.  I then promptly got an error, or something. Which I tweeted @dreamwidth, and explained the whole ordeal for the benefit of my friends that weren't aware of what was going on.

Dreamwidth sent me a direct message!
your sad, sad story has moved me! [invite code!]

It made me lol!  so here I am.

as someone who has been known to leap out of bed for the internet, your tweet made me laugh and laugh. *g*
